RASHEED SHODIYA BALOGUN, THE BRAVE WARRIOR ~ Tosin Omojoola

|By Tosin Omojoola|

A big fish has just left the ocean
An Elephant has fallen in the wilderness
A roaring Lion has disappeared from the forest
A bird has suddenly stopped flying
A giant has just broken down
A good man, a great man is gone.
A leader, a father, a king is gone forever.
He was God sent.
He touched so many lives.
Always loves putting smiles on frowning faces.
Loves lifting up the broken hearted.
He hated seeing someone suffering.
A kind hearted man.
So passionate about his job.
Very caring to his workers.
He was not a billionaire.
Yet he was a philanthropist.
An unrepentant giver.
He believed no help was too big to be offered.
He believed nothing was impossible to be achieved.
Hated by some but loved by many.
A benefactor, who never discriminates.
To him, everybody was equal.
Tears still flowing.
For a good man who left suddenly.
Lamentations continue
For a man who sees everybody like his family.
He will be missed across many parts
The football fraternity
His immediate family
His friends and colleagues
Mostly, the soldiers he worked with last, before he left.
The Shooting Stars family.
All the same.
He fought a good fight.
He was never defeated by anybody.
But was called to take a deserved rest by his maker.
He will never be forgotten.
Even though he is no more physically, yet his presence can still be felt.
Because his good works live and speak for him.
So heartbroken, to say a goodbye, with no hope of saying welcome back.
So painful, to say goodnight, with no expectation of saying good morning.
We are grieved
Shocked to the marrow
Our hearts still bleeding.
But we submit to the will of God.
We give glory to the supreme God.
Who gives and takes at His appointed time.
To the bosom of your creator we commit you.
*RASHEED SHODIYA BALOGUN*
*ADIEU*
Rest well, till we meet again.
Goodbye, goodnight.
