AFCON2021: Five Things Spotted In Tunisia’s Final Training Session Ahead Of Cracker With Super Eagles

|By Oyee Oyedeji|

Tunisia players returned to training at Cenajes on Saturday ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations clash with Nigeria tomorrow night.

The Carthage Eagles will be looking for an improved performance on Sunday after a lacklustre first round.

Take a look below at five things spotted at Tunisia training today.

1) Youssef Msakni all smiles

The Al Arabi winger appeared to be in good spirits ahead of the Super Eagles test. He was brilliant during the practice session and fired on all cylinders.

Let’s hope he is back to his best tomorrow.

2) Relaxed Carthage Eagles

Despite Covid-19 depleting the Carthage Eagles ahead of Sunday’s cracker, they looked relaxed and trained very well.

3) Mohamed Drager looking sharp

Drager looked to be on the ball in training today ahead of the clash in Garoua.

Could he be making a return to the starting XI tomorrow.

4) Al-Qadri watches on

Assistant Coach Jalal Al-Qadri supervised the training in place of Mondher Kebaier who sat at the stands looking sick.

Al-Qadri cut an imposing figure on the touchline today as he observed Tunisia training. He has some tough decisions to make ahead of tomorrow’s game.

5) No sign of Wahbi Khazri

A star performer for the Carthage Eagles during the 4-0 win over Mauritania, Khazri is the heart and soul of Tunisia.

He appeared not to be pictured today in training due to Covid-19.
