FAKOREDE MOURNS AND CONSOLES FAMILY, 3SC OVER DEATH OF GM SHODIYA BALOGUN

The Oyo State Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Asiwaju Seun Fakorede mourns the death of the General Manager of Shooting Stars Sports Club Alhaji Rasheed Shodiya Balogun. 

It is with a heavy heart that I received news of the sudden death of Alhaji Rasheed Shodiya Balogun, the General Manager of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) from 2014–2022. 

The sad event occurred on January 20th, 2022 after a brief illness — 'Baba Balo' as I fondly call him was a friend, an astute associate and a football administrator par excellence.  

My deepest sympathy therefore goes out to the Children and Family he left behind at this difficult time. I wish to console the family with the fact that Mr. Rasheed Balogun lived a fulfilled life, while present with us.

The Oyo State Ministry of Youth and Sports wish the family, peace and comfort as they grieve the loss of a dear one and may the Lord preserve and abide with the children of the deceased.
