By Oyee OYEDEJI

Yesterday in Abuja, it was glamour and befitting as the son born of the soil Ogbomoso Ajilete bowled out of service of handling and officiating the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) as he officiated his last Match which is the Testimonial Match of his retirement.

Otunba Idowu Adepoju who based in Abuja is the Donor of one of the grassroots football competitions in Ogbomoso and its environs. Otunba Idowu who among the best served for twenty-three years having used 7 years in training, 2 years in Nationwide League, 2 years in National League, and 12 years in Nigeria Professional Football League with over 200 professional matches officiated.

In his words, it was an emotional moment for me when they mounted this Guard of honor for me as I go into the field of play.

I'm still looking for how to appreciate everyone who made it happen because the turnout was massive.

Words will fail me if I'm to express my gratitude for your support during the Testimonial Match in my honor yesterday.

You are a part of that important part of my life history.

Thank you for being a part of it, I'm very grateful.

May the lord Almighty bless you.
